Davis Park funded under a re-elected Coalition Government

The Nhill community is set to benefit with $1.64 million committed from the Coalition Government to get upgrades underway at the Davis Park precinct.

This commitment will take the Coalition Government’s total contribution to $2.5 million for stage one of the project.

Nationals Member for Mallee, Anne Webster announced the funding at Davis Park on Thursday with members of the local sporting community and Hindmarsh Shire Council.

“I am thrilled to be able to announce this investment into local sport in Nhill after fighting hard for this project,” Dr Webster said.

“The first phase of the project will provide modern facilities including an undercover spectator grandstand and adjoining multi-use change rooms.

“I am especially excited to make this announcement today, because I know how much this means to the Nhill community and I want to congratulate them on their strong local advocacy.

“Under a re-elected Coalition Government, this dream will become a reality for this vibrant sporting community.”

Sport is the beating heart of regional towns, and the Coalition understand this and know communities need support to upgrade key local facilities.

“I know how important this project is for Nhill and how much joy it will bring for the sporting community,” Dr Webster said.

“From the little ones to the seniors and their families, braving the freezing cold in winter and the dry heat in summer, these upgrades will benefit everyone.

Only the Coalition have a plan to continue delivering a strong economy and a stronger future for Mallee.
